Rough Patch

It has been a rough last 2 weeks....

January 12th
my Nana's husband, my step-grandpa, passed away.
They had been staying at my house because on Sunday their house flooded. So my Nana was not feeling well last night and came over around 5pm and she was sick to her stomach and throwing up. Well her husband was over at their house and called my Nana and told her he was going to take a shower, eat something and then come over here. My Mom and Dad had left around 7pm and my Nana was laying on the couch so I shut myself and the 2 dogs in my parents room so my Nana could rest. Well around 8pm I heard BL (her husband) drive up so I turn the TV up so the dogs wont go nuts when he opened the door. Right after that my Nana comes banging on the door saying Shawna Shawna come here! BL fell and he won't talk to me. So I run out of the room to find him face first in my living room. We start checking to see if he would respond and NO response....So I call 911 and tell them I need an ambulance right away and the operator has me stay on the line while he tells me how to do CPR. So my Nana and I do CPR on him for about 10 min til a cop arrives and he starts it and I stay on the phone til the paramedics arrive. They get there and soon after his daughter and grandson arrive and my parents. From the time I called 911 til they loaded him up was around an hour....We all get in our cars and rush to Kingwood Medical Center where they pronounced him. I cannot get the image out of my head....I couldn't sleep. I slept in my parents room and just stared at the ceiling most of the night.

This past week I started my EKG Monitor Tech class and now there are only 4 classes left (it was a 3 week class, 2 days a week). There is so much to learn, in so little time. I have got to buckle down and start to learn this stuff so I can do well in the class and on the test. I am excited about this because this means I might ACTUALLY, FINALLY, get a job. :)

This week I have class 2 nights and a family get together at my Granny's on Saturday night. I love going over there every month, that way I see a lot of my family. I love spending time with them, even if it is for only about 2 hours.
